Costa Rica (2022)

Costa Rica, what a country! What a place! Back in January I flew out to this magical place to be part of a music festival which has landed a beautiful new home in the Jungle around Tamarindo. I was due to be there for 10 days capturing this amazing spectacle that brings in people from all over the world. With COVID still among us however our dreams and aspirations for the period were shattered, when the festival was told by the Government just hours before the initial start time of the festival that it could no longer be held. (Purely political) This decision meant thousands who were already on the island, or due to be traveling in could sadly no longer perform or visit the festival. The only good news to this tragic situation was that we got to spend 10 days in this beautiful, and truly diverse country enjoying its surroundings and capturing what we could to help create content to market the festival for its future return in 2023. I talk about this adventure a lot as it was really one of the real highlights of my year, and I cant imagine how good it would have been if we’d actually managed to shoot the festival.
